The GSMA RCS initiative was launched in 2008 to create a unified, robust and interoperable advanced multimedia service cross-platform and network.  The hope of monetising increased communication and data traffic, whilst retaining subscribers with a distinct service, has caught the industry’s imagination for a considerable time.  But with work taking place on RCS version 2, RCS trials set  for Q409 and commercial service expected by French operators in 2010, what must players know about RCS and alternative rich communication strategy before they commit?
